MJA Awards 2007

Welcome to the Medical Journalism Awards 2008

Consumer knowledge and interest in all aspects of healthcare has never been greater. From scientific discovery and pioneering treatments to insurance products and industry innovation, every day sees a range of media stories which help inform and educate both the general public and specialist audiences.

As the field becomes ever more crowded and complex, so the need grows for expert, innovative and accurate reporting. The Medical Journalism Awards have, for the last 16 years, aimed to recognise and reward the talent, skill and commitment of those working in medical and related financial journalism. Run jointly by the Medical Journalists’ Association and Norwich Union Healthcare, the awards celebrate what’s best about our industry and promote the highest standards of excellence in journalism.

There are a number of award categories within the general medical, financing healthcare and broadcast media classes, covering consumer and trade media as well as best newcomers. Whether your work appears in print, online or broadcast there’s every opportunity to showcase your talents.

And if you win an award, you can enjoy up to £1,000 in prize money, the recognition of your peers, a fabulous evening reception for the awards ceremony and a great career highlight for your CV.

This year’s awards will take place on 13th November 2008 – so download a form now and make it a date.
